Mic loopback

Hey guys...

So basically I want to be able to virtually link some audio output to my mic input...
I've tried a few things... Perl (sockets)... Configuring around with my sound card... But nothing has worked so far...
I'm not really a linux audio expert...
I'm using gentoo kernel builtin ALSA if that makes a difference...
