c++ for Veins-Sumo. Installing Sumo problem

i'm very new and i'm not sure if this is the right place to put this topic. Sorry if it isn't.
I am trying to install Sumo-0.15.0 on my Mac.
I am following this guide, https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/omnetpp/pZZIAwwnyhM, but when I try to configure Sumo through this command:
"CPPFLAGS="$CPPFLAGS -I/usr/local/include/python2.7 -I/usr/local/include -I/usr/X11/include -I/usr/X11/include/freetype2" LDFLAGS="$LDFLAGS -lpython2.7 -L/usr/local/lib -L/usr/X11/lib" ./configure --with-python --enable-memcheck --enable-messages --enable-profiling "
It doesn't work and gives this error:
"configure: error: xerces-lib not found. Specify path with option --with-xerces-libraries=DIR."
I tried by installing xerces library, but it doesn't work. What am I missing here?
