Given the confusion this has generated, I've decided to change the buttons that allow you to delete somebody else's post - they will now look exactly the same as a regular Report button. If you see an abuse, just click on Report, no matter what happens to it.
You will still be able to know whether your report will delete the post or not: both the button tooltip and the confirmation popup will warn you about this.
Small bug: if you post, edit, then edit again, the text shown for the second edit will be the original text, not the result of the first edit. Eventually this goes away.
I loose my session after hybernation and I always check "whatever... permanently", but to no avail. It worked before, so I guess it is not part of the design.
And I know this is not current, but the bookmarks do not work with archived topics. After the blow out, may be twicker could check it out. (I can always bookmark with the browser of-course.)
Hello, should an open ended single quote dothis? I've seen this happen in a few threads and it's a little annoying. /* Of course if the posters used them in comments then their threads wouldn't Edit: I bet It could get even worse, I fear to think how much so. Anyone starting to feel a little OCD about this yet? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
cause this. */
Hey, If I start a comment with "/*" and don't end it, it will automatically put it in for me. It's not a problem, it's just interesting.
Oh, and that (^see above^) doesn't look right either. Seems like the text wrapping doesn't work quite right if I use a return.
There's another bug of the same kind:
π = 3.14
I entered the Greek letter pi but the result (in the preview) is an escaped π that is π in the HTML source of the page.
In the actual post shows the weird π thing.
Also, editing this post replaced the &escape; things with their replace ( eg: & in the post becomes & in the edit box )
To clarify:
I type something containing some non-ASCII character,
In the preview I see them as escaped HTML
The submitted post looks with some weird characters
If I edit, it keeps the weird characters but replaces the HTML escapes which I typed as the browser would display them
Small atheistic suggestion for the new pages bar at the top and bottom of the page. Consider using a longer image so that it doesn't repeat like that when a thread goes wide.
I suggest mirroring it so that it is twice as wide and fades back down to the light blue so that when it repeats it fades back and forth smoothly. Or just continue dark blue...
