Instead of yellow in the participated post banner how about something like a nice blue?

I would agree that a nice pale blue would be more in keeping with the overall colour scheme.

I have no problem with yellow, yellow is a nice colour, but blue would be nicer.

On my work PC monitors the Yellow comes out very pail, almost unnoticeable on one. On my home PCs and Mac it dose show more strongly, almost is a 'slap you in the face' ugly shade shade on the Mac.

twicker, I figured a change would be nice but it's rather annoying trying to find old archived articles since I have to search through 14 months of pages, each of which contain anywhere from 0 to 8 articles. How about an option to contain all months?

So, here's a question... what am I to do if a newcomer makes a thread in the wrong section? I can't report the thread asking for it to be moved; I can only delete the post in question.

Sure, you can delete the post, and explain the situation in the "Reason" field. I would undelete and move the post as soon as I get the report.
But, there is a new feature related to that! (I know I should make a list, but I would forget things anyway...). The OP has a nice "Edit topic" button beneath the title, and by editing a topic you may now move it to a different forum. So, now you can also ask the OP to move it.
Both options are valid.

I can't stand yellow.

Ok, ok, blue then... force a reload and the new css paints you posts in blue.

If I understand correctly, you are talking about the forum themselves, not the search functionality... Indeed, some forums have little participation, and a monthly archive is probably not the best way to organize them...

edit: I have just adapted "articles" and "jobs" archives to yearly periods.

Yay! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
One last suggestion:

When I go to My topics, why not leave the Forum navigation box on the left?
Awesome! Now the forum looks more like Diablo 3! :D

One thing I noticed is that we can no longer view the last five posts of a user as a part of their profile.

I was worried about that too. I regularly check the profile pages of some users (e.g. rapidcoder) to view their latest posts. I've been wondering if it's possible to add a feature like 'subscribe to a user' which would allow one to view all the posts of that user...

I think twicker already said that there might be a little bit of a privacy issue if that was implemented.

Nonetheless, I don't think there's anything stopping you from making a program to record all the posts being make by a user. :D

There's a search box on the top of every page...

Last 5 posts are visible..
Okay, on that topic, I've seen what I think is one of the first uses of the Delete button. There are two things I noticed after its use:

1: Its use doesn't decrement a user's post count.

2: After seeing a post by DeadOverclock being deleted, I noticed that his profile page ceased to self-update after that point. It claims that he has 6 posts and it shows 5 of the older ones, when in reality he has 9 and the 5 posts shown are not his newest.

Are either of these intentional?

EDIT: Both have been fixed. :)

i made a mistake in my post so what?

No. Definitely, bugs.
Just noticed a bug: when you finish a post, the page you get is in the same state it was at the time you loaded the page + your post. If anyone else posts while you're typing, you don't see it until you reload the page.

I think that the page not reloading after writing a post is intentional...

It looks like I am able to delete other users posts, what is that all about? I'm scrolling back through this thread now to see if this has been addressed yet.

REQUEST: This isn't a major issue but I think it would help when passing links within the tutorial to newer programmers, could the "href" links be finished up so that every "header" tag has an associated link? Otherwise when we pass people a link to the documentation I know that easily half of them don't read the whole thing.

If a user has been reported and you're a trusted user, you can delete their posts.

This is a pretty good idea. If I recall, the anchors are there but you have to view source and add them to the page's URL manually to link to a specific section. Perhaps a better way would be to have a little dynamically-generated table of contents for each page--that way you get a feel for the topics covered and those links can easily be copied.
We have a new glitch! On the main screen, when clicking the second "Forum" link on the left side of this page, I see two Beginners' sections...

EDIT: ...but no more... I think two people posting at about the same time caused it.
