Trying Mint

I am trying Mint for the first time, after a very long experience in using Windows from win xp (My best version to date) to win10 (Hopefully my last version).

So I am curious here, who's using Linux?

And what kind of things you can try in Mint?

Thanks for reading))
I am using Mint on my laptop. My experience so far has been generally positive. Graphics stuff worked mostly out of the box. Had to manually install a driver to get some sort of dock/usb hub to work.

The dumb thing to me is hibernation being so hard to enable. You need to manually set up a bunch of stuff from the command-line to get it to work. I've also been having power problems in general, like the screen not coming back on after going to sleep/suspend.

I'm ok with tinkering to get it to work, but it's not the sort of thing I would recommend to a non-technical family member. Still less frustrating than Windows though :)
I really like the Linux filesystem over Windows.
Mounting phones in Linux is bug-free for me, while it's riddled with bugs in Windows.

Thank for replying @Ganado))

I thought Windows system is far better. For example, currently i am struggling in renaming files. In Windows you just click and click again, it is faster. In Mint you have either to rename from menu or f2.
with Windows subsystem for Linux, I really lost any real need for Linux. Seems mostly useful to cut out Windows bloat and nonsense.
This is my third day with Mint, and I am loving it))
What do you do when it freezes?

In windows, you can try things like:
1) start+d.
2) Alt+f4
3) Esc
4) Or even call the Task manager like Ctrl+Shift+Del

Any ideas?
