Never lose hope

It was easy to set my web browser to remember my passwords. To log in to one of my favorite websites (cplusplus.com), I just click one button, and the browser does the job on my behalf.

One day/night, I was following a fix and cleared my web browser cache...

All my passwords were gone.

I struggled to recover most of them, including the one for cpp.com. I looked through all the text files I suspected might contain it... couldn't find it.

I resorted to the "Forgot your password?" steps, only to realize that they were broken.

I searched again through every text file I could possibly have. I even used batch because I have a loooooot of files.

I wrote to cpp.com's "Contact Us" dozens of times.

I waited.

It's been 4 years...

Finally, I found my password.

In my brother's computer.
Welcome back 💀 I don't think clearing your cache does that in a modern browser, since login details aren't just "field texts" anymore.

Why did you have your brother's computer and why was your login on it?
Hello @zapshe)

Why did you have your brother's computer and why was your login on it?

I still do not know/remember how that text file reached his Computer))

That's awesome.
Now you need to check that computer for a series of seed words. You might just find yourself in ownership of a couple dozen bitcoin.
