If you don't want to read all this the 10 cent version is that they had AI solve the sorting and searching problems using the constraints of assembly language seeing the fastest way, with good enough results that the c++ library will be (already is?) using these changes for sorting and searching. It may be old news for those who keep up with the bleeding edge. I knew that there was an update available, but not how it was developed.
