So should you go to college to get a major in computer science? Lets say you want to have a career as a programmer even though you know everything their is to know about programming would you still go to college to get a degree in it? Will this help your chances of getting into a company like Google or yahoo compared to some 15 year old teenager who has as much skills as you? Lets say a 26 year old programmer with a degree in computer science with no experience vs. a 18 year old teenager with no experience who would an employer higher? Will the employer lead more to the 18 year old over the 16 year old?
Having a college degree usually automatically makes you more eligible than anyone without a degree since you have a way to prove your experience in the field.
In general getting a degree in computer science now is actually a smart choice. Technology I believe is the fastest growing market and is in constant need for more and more programmers.
