I want to know which is the most popular sql server used with c and c++(oracle,mysql,microsoft sql server,db2, sybase or some other) and which is the most common library(or dervers) to connect, fire quires and manipulate database using C and C++. please answer with respect of windows and Linux both.

You cannot answer this question. Because the database picked has really no direct relationship to the language.

For the most part, MySQL is extremely popular across the board because it's easy to use and has simple drivers for most languages.

WxWidgets has an ODBC library, so does QT. Both of these are multi-platform and multi-database.
