I see the length of yours and some other's replies, and I don't see how that time could not have been spent answering my actual questions. |
Firstly, your questions are covered elsewhere, so answering them again for free is really a poor use of time.
Secondly, having a chat is easy. Answering some trivial question is easy, too -- unless the questioner has no clue and you have to explain a course's worth of background material. Questions like that typically aren't answered -- when they are, the responses don't help the OP, because they lack required background.
Look, to properly teach templates to you, I'd first need to present a motivating problem they're intended to solve. Then I'd have to form some analogy to introduce them, maybe in terms of functional abstraction, give you some rationale, present some simple templates, show you some best practices, talk about pitfalls, define
meta-programming, etc., etc., and present examples all the way through.
This is one topic of
five you asked us to discuss. Too much work.
I hate how many people say that I picked the wrong place to ask a question.
Why can't you used the time spent writing a rude reply, to write a helpful one?

Telling you to "look it up" is not rude. Blunt, perhaps, but not rude.
If I could end the replies to this post, I would. |
You can. Quit replying to it.
