I got the code source of this concept . it is developed in java script . one of college in my company has developed same tool in java script
Not hard at all, all it takes is to move a fake cursor [ie. an image] in front of a text box & output each letter of the query on some sort of delay. Both are easily achievable with JS [like you said].
