You'll have to show what code you're trying to run.
I agree with Bazzy that it's a sh*tty IDE, but it can still get the job done just fine. As long as you coded and linked everything correctly, you should be able to run your application.
Use wxdev instead. It's newer than dev itself which was discontinued a while ago. The article Bazzy pointed you to (programming pun?) is an excellent discussion about IDE choices.
