pixel colors

so i want to make a program that will place the mouse at a certain color on the screen. The Screen that i want it to be looking at is on a web page. I know how to move the mouse to the location, so there is no worries there, i really need to know a function that will return the rgb scale integers. i tryed using GetPixel() but i beleive that is for bitmap images only, so it didn't work. any help would be much appreciated. i will be integrated into a win 32 console program, and i'm using vc++
